planning on taking it to KRC, to have some of the "experts" there give it a test flight.  Unfortunately, it won't fit in his shipping box, so the test flights will have to take place in California.  OOPS!

Some Plane Ratings

From: Kirby Kish email: kirbyk@zoran.com

Hi,
First of all, thank you for hosting such an informative and entertaining website. The material that I read and the knowledge that I gained have enabled me to be successful in e-flight (after a 4 year absence from RC).
Here are some plane ratings that you might wish to post on your site:

Aircraft: Global Right Flyer 25

Rating: ***
Wing Area: 450 sq.in.
Wing Span: 50 in
Power: MEC Turbo 10 plus, 10-2000 mAh cells (MEC Power Tube), MEC MX-50 ESC, 6:1 MEC SuperBox, SonicTronics 12x7 folding prop
Comments: Flies like a Goldberg Eaglet. This plane and power combination would make an ideal trainer. (there are photos of it on the Feb. 98 E-Zone Gallery)

Aircraft: Global Superfly 15

Rating: ****
Wing Area: 363 sq.in.
Wing Span: 45 in
Power: Aveox 1406/4Y direct, L160 ESC, 9x5 Graupner folding prop,
10-2000 mAh cells (MEC Power Tube)
Comments: Wow! Flies great and is fun. Similar in size to an ElectroStreak.  Semi-Symmetrical airfoil enables inverted flying with minimal "down elevator". Loops and rolls with ease. Slows down without any tendency to tip stall.

Aircraft: Global Explorer

Rating: ***
Wing Area: 595 sq.in.
Wing Span: 78 in.
Power: Goldfire with MAS 3:1 gearbox and 12x8 folding prop, 7-1400 mAh cells, Novak Arrow ESC
Comments: Modified the nose to support the motor/gearbox. It's a little heavy, but flies well. I usually get 3 climbs to thermal altitude and I have had a few 45+ minute flights. (there are photos of it in the Feb. 98 E-Zone Gallery)
I'm in the process of completing a Speedy Bee and a Lanier Shrike...stay tuned!

RCB Kits Update

From: Rob Bulk email: rbckits@cistron.nl

Hello Ken,
I've got a brand-new plane for the speed 400 and it's a delta.  It's very good flying, easy launching and flies not too fast, but just good for combat, enclosed is a picture from the prototype.
I can't find a link to my site on yours did you put one in?  Here it is: http://rbckits.www.cistron.nl (
It's there. Km)

And more from Rob

Hello Ken
We just had the first Lazy Bee meeting last weekend in Holland (
middle of August km)  There were many Bee's in Electric as well in gas and most of them were beautiful finished with translucent covering .
Unfortunately there was a strong wind, so only the real die hard Bee flyers were flying (most of it was battle against the wind) but some did great aerobatics.
We were flying the Microbe and this didn't give any problems, but flying with less wind is nicer.
We also saw the Gyro Bee, but this one didn't fly.
We also Flew the new Delta 400 which flew also great and attracted many people.
I've some new pictures in my camera send them soon.
