The solution to problem 2
Accurately create a CAD or hand drawing of the area inside the body shell along with the sizes of the components and battery and try and try again to fit the components inside the drawn body. Try the fitment on the real chassis and body shell until the body shell and chassis can fit together correctly.

An outline of the inside of the body shell was made from 1/4" thick balsa, which was the correct thickness for the outside ledge on the chassis that the body shell sits on. To make the physical fitment easier, the chassis was laid on its right side over the balsa interior outline. The balsa piece represented the inside, right wall of the body shell.

The 1/4" balsa outline sits on the rail of the frame between the motor and the side of the frame.

The solution was, after checking with the LocoFi™ Team to see if it was okay, to mount the speaker onto the decoder with tape only on the yellow part of the speaker and then to mount the module "vertically" in the rear of the body shell with the PCB part of the module dropping into the slot above the rear flywheel with the speaker spaced slightly away from, while facing the right sidewall.
