and all but one flew in the breezy atmosphere. We had a ball!

Some News from the US Nationals

Yes, the E-Nats has come and gone and from what I heard, it was the best one yet. It certainly was the biggest and if you can put the word "best" next to biggest, it's a winner.
In past years, Indiana has been kind to us in the weather department and this year was no exception. It rained at night but not during the day. While the winds were occasionally brisk, it was not enough to deter the determined.
Without going into a lot of detail, here are the standings of the first five flyers in the AMA Official Events:

A new "event" known as
Speed 400 Scale was held just for the fun of it and it attracted six modelers and an impressive gaggle of spectators even though it was held at 7:30 a.m. All the models were pristine in appearance

Gulf States Electric Fly-In Still On

Even though the competition calendar in Model Aviation reported the contest cancelled, IT IS NOT!  The place is the Ozone R/C club field in Slidell, LA, near New Orleans.  This is a big and fun southern meet, with southern hospitality and southern eats.  I sure wish it was a bit closer, as it always sounds like a lot of fun.

Fort Wayne R/C Model Hobby Show & Swap Meet

Saturday, October 10 is the date.  It will be held at the Allen County Memorial Coliseum, near the intersection of Indian 930 & Parnell Ave.  The show hours are 10 to 4.
